After searching around and being unable to find a model of the Utah Teapot in Maya format, I decided to build my own from the original dataset. I’ve added a bottom and a rim for the lid to rest on – parts that are famously absent from the original model. They are clearly marked and removable if you want to be “authentic.” The Teapot model is available in Polygons, NURBS, and Subdivision Sufaces. The SubD Teapot also has a version that is almost a physical model, it has interior walls and finished surfaces – no exposed planar surfaces – except on the inside where the spout meets the pot. I may fix that up in the future, but that’s the way it is for now.
